Tuesday Taggers ~ Gone Digital!

Hi All

What a lovely start to the week! Brilliant sunshine, a fabulous new car and a great challenge! Life is good!!(ish)

One of our lovely teamies, Teri, has set up her own online store selling the fantastic digital images she uses for her crafting. She is a crafter who doesn't own a stamp!! That sounds very wierd but if you go and have a look at her work here you'll see that with talent like that she doesn't need stamps.

We've persuaded her to produce a digi stamp for Tuesday Taggers this week and being harvest she came up with a drawing of this cute little harvest mouse

If you've looked back on my blog you'll know how much I love the beautifully descriptive poetry of Walter De La Mare, well it just so happens he wrote a poem about a harvest mouse, it goes like this

Silver

Slowly, silently, now the moon

Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy cote the white breasts peep
Of doves in silver feathered sleep
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

A wonderful picture it conjures up, and one that I've tried to create on my card. Of course the card can't possibly reproduce the image I have in my head but I hope you like it

I brayered the background with Adirondak inks, then stamped a combination of Crafty Individuals, Inkadinkado, and Lavinia stamps in black then added a little (no a lot) of sakura glitter pen to give silver highlights to everything. I coloured Teri's mouse with prismacolours and sansodor and made the sentiment for the front and printed out the poem for the inside of the card.

Teri is offering the digi stamp as a freebie for this weeks challenge and the winner can then choose three more digi stamps from her shop.

Pop over to TT to see how you can get your free digi.

Enjoy!
x Michelle
