Saturday 11th Feb - Simply Special!
We kick off bright and breezy at 10am when you’ll learn how to use dye inks to create beautiful stencilled backgrounds to create clean and simple cards, a great way to say a big thanks for all your Christmas pressies, or create that special card for the one you love! We’ll demonstrate some of the different ways to use ink pads and explore how different inks work
The afternoon will see you using these skills to make a little gift, and making a page for your technique book so you remember what you’ve been doing!
Saturday 17th March – Marvellous Moments!
This workshop will build on the skills already learned and you’ll be brushing inks and stamping to create misty layered backgrounds and images that look like they’ve been watercoloured! Scared? – Don’t be! It’s a doddle! And we’ll be exploring more interesting ways of using bleach rather than swishing round the loo!!! The theme today will be making cards for the wonderful women in your life!
Saturday 14th April – Designa Paper!!
Who needs paper pads when we can design our own stunning papers to get just the right look and perfectly matched colours. A wonderful way to make bright ‘n’ cheery celebration cards – great for Easter!
Saturday 19th May – Masculine Makeover!!
Yep, it’s time to recap on all the things you’ve learned and use them to make cards for those magnificent (or not so) men in your life! We’ll be using all the techniques we’ve learned and giving them a masculine makeover so we can let those fabulous fellas know how much we appreciate them!
Saturday 16th June – Artistic Licence to Stamp!
A real treat in this session for all the frustrated artists out there! Learn how to create stunning scenes using torn paper, stamps and a water brush no one need ever know you didn’t paint them.
Friday 6th July – Who needs Paper?
Ok, so we know how to stamp on paper, but why stop there? We’ll be using specialised inks to stamp on a whole host of other surfaces including Vellum, Plastic and Acetate to make cards and gifts! We’ll be offering a tutorial on basic colouring with promarkers or copics too so be prepared to be clearly amazed!
Saturday 11th August – Resistance is Futile!
In this session we’ll be stamping with different products which resist ink with stunning results. If you’ve got a craft Iron, bring it along cos we’ll be ironing stuff that you don’t need to put in your wardrobe!
Saturday 8th September – Perfect Powders!
Here we’ll be showing you how to get a perfect image with Embossing Powders, learning successful embossing techniques, different inks suitable for embossing and triple embossing. Confused? No need. We’ll take you through it step by step, and you’ll be thrilled with the results. Perfect for beginners and Practiced crafters too!
Saturday 13th October – Bootiful Bossing!
Learn how to emboss using folders and stencils and even make your own embossing folders. Not just on paper but on card metal acetate and even a coke can!
Friday 2nd November – All that Glitters……!
Ever used glitter and got it everywhere? Learn how to use that sparkly stuff to make the classiest of cards. Loadsa different techniques for getting the best out of your glitz!
Saturday 8th December – Distressed this Christmas?
Never!! A real treat for this session, not only will we be going through the techniques Tim Holtz uses to create pieces in his distinctive style, we’ll be showing you how to make it pretty too, so we’ll be doing grunge and girly grunge to make it a Christmas a la Tim!
