Diamonds are a girls best friend!
Hi there
At our last crop in Skipton Janet demonstrated some background techniques using Tim Holtz distress inks on parcel tags. I enjoyed it so much I fancied doing a few more and was pointed in the direction of Tag You're It, where there are some superb tags of all shapes and sizes. They have a challenge on at the mo which requires some glitz and glam. Got plenty of glitz - don't know about the glam but came up with this tag which I thoroughly enjoyed making.
The image was stamped and masked then the background was created using Anna Griffin pigment pads, cream, purple and blue, instead if dye ink, it seems to have given a subtler background which I then gave a light spray of glimmer mist and stamped purple swirls. I bought all these stamps before I realised that it was a good idea to know who produced them (novice uh!) Girl was coloured with prismacolours and sansodor and finally dressed her with her glitz earings and necklace.
The words were stamped using magnetic poetry word stamp kit which has proved a really useful set.
Hope you like it and thanks Janet for the tutorial x
x Michelle
