This week hasn't half flown, it only seems two minutes since I had finished the first challenge and here it is again! This week the theme is BLING, not something I do too well but quite pleased with the result today. The Image is one of Chris's at Sketching Stamper (Links on Left) and the paper is another freebie from Tinker & Co which I stamped over with Tim Holtz distress ink faded jeans. Coloured the hearts with sakura glitter pen and cut the vase out of black card sprayed with glimmer mist then covered both with glossy accents. The ribbon and embellishment is from a local asian haberdashery stall on the market. I love looking around these stores for wonderful bits and bobs to put on cards and scrapbook pages, a brilliant source for bling!
There was a great response to the challenge this week and some amazing work entered and on the blogs of crafters who had a go. If you've got time have a look. You'll be well impressed.
I've got a great Easter weekend planned, Tomorrow a full day of scrapbooking at the local craft shop, Sunday roast turkey and some lush pud with immediate family, Monday a craft class with Katy from Katy's Bloggeroo and Tuesday an Easter Party with all the family where we will fill the house and probably the garden have a barbie weather permitting and play games and do a treasure hunt with the kids. What more could one ask for?
Looking forward to seeing your take on the challenge, all these ideas - fantastic!
Bye for now
