The sun didn't last long and were in amongst pouring rain and gale force winds today but I'm tucked snuggly in my craft room blog hopping then realised I need to post the DU2DS DT card and let you all know about the fab prize to be had and the special event we're hoping you'll help us with this week. The theme is....... tara!!!
Gingham & Stitching and send your card to Post Pals
You may stitch by hand, sewing machine, faux etc. Don't forget your image needs to be digi :o)
There's a fantastic prize on offer for encouragement which is sponsored half and half by Post Pals and DU2DS with a value of £20 and includes a Martha Stewart Punch, some pretty flowers and two digi stamps, all we ask is that you join the DT in following this weeks theme and sending your finished card to a child via the PostPals site. This is an organisation which arranges for cards to be sent to children with life threatening illness to help brighten their day.
So here is my card for this week, not easy for me but I enjoyed the challenge of using a style I havn't used before (never been into gingham etc) Wanted to create a shaker style card and hunted all over the net for examples of shaker style artwork but couldn't find any. Help me out if you know where I can find some cos I still fancy having a go at this style of card. In the meantime this evolved. Hope you like!!

What a beautiful card, Michelle! I like the fact that it is not just two-dimensional, very clever!

Stunning card Michelle. Love the shape. I can image it moving when I open and close it. For someone who says she doesn't 'do' gingham you have a magnificent job!
Hope you are having a great weekend.
