Tuesday Taggers Stamp It!!

My Blogging Buddies on Tuesday Taggers came up with this challenge as they, and I, are all stamp addicts. So, they said, use as many stamps as you can to make anything you want to make. As I've made an awful lot of cards lately I thought I'd have a go at altering something. (In truth I didn't want to be outdone by Avril our guest DT member who made a whole load of fabulous ATC's complete with a box file to keep them in!)

Many moons ago I went to my habidashery wholesalers and bought some big cheap shiny plasic belts which I thought I could do something with. When I got them home and showed them to my crafty pals they looked at them blankly and said "nice" I knew then they couldn't imagine what on earth I could do with them!
Having rediscovered them sitting in a box at the back of the shelf I thought I'd have a play. I scrubbed the silver off with wet and dry sand paper then stamped a little scroll stamp around the buckle. I stamped the flower image from Kay Carleys new funky flower stamps (40ish times) onto parchement paper and sprayed them the shimmer mists then cut them out and shaped them a little. After layering the different sized flowers I stuck them onto the buckle with glossy accents, with some twisty wire bits and a bit of ribbon, hey presto another Christmas pressy to pop away in the Christmas box!......if only it was really that easy.

The Stampman are sponsoring a £15 voucher as candy for the winner at Tuesday Taggers this week and all the products I used (except the belt buckle) are available there so pop over there and have a look at their stuff. It's still early days at Tuesday Taggers so if you have a go at the challenge you'll be in with a good chance of winning.

Belt Buckle - Stash
Stamps - Kay Carley funkey flowers
Ink - Stazon
Colouring Medium - Cosmic Shimmer mists
Glue - Glossy Accents
Ribbon - Stash

All available from The Stampman

Whilst I was playing with the buckles I had a go at painting one with acrylic paint and crackle glaze. The glaze didn't work all that well but I rubbed it back a bit with wet and dry then rubbed it over with distress ink, was quite pleased with the result so made a few flowers to decorate it. What do you think?

Oooh you are clever Michelle. These are great. I love those parchment flowers on the first buckle and the second one looks like the seaside. I adore them both.
