Quelle heure est il?

I had a few minutes sprawled on the sofa watching creat and craft this afternoon and guess what, there was something really good on!!!!! some lovely lady was demonstrating how to make watch straps with grungeboard. Her straps looked great having painted them with cosmic shimmer paints and stamped them but I dont have any of those things so decided to improvise.
I coloured the grungepaper with TH dyes then stamped on them and sealed with PVA. then cut out the flowers and coloured them too. The watch is an old one of my mums which has been lying around in my drawer for the last 3 years.

really enjoyed this and will be getting hold of the right stuff to have another go soon!

Hope the rain isn't getting you down.
x Michelle

Hi Michelle I've seen Sheena Douglas doing the demo on C&C and you've done a great job even though you hadn't got all the stuff. Now you know where my suggestion came from.

I saw this too Michelle. It really was interesting. I love your take on it. I've just been browsing and someone else has been making other jewellery like pendants with the grungeboard. It seems the limits are endless. I must get my hands on some.

FEEEEEEEEEEnomenal!!!! I was given a ton of grungeboard but have never used it because I have always felt really uninspired by it. This however has made me sit up! And I can't believe that they'd have shown something of this magnitude on C&C - and I missed it!!!! Argh! I have had C&C on in the background every morning throughout the 6 week holiday (before the kids woke up and switched to Nick toons!) and endured endless CD Roms and Decoupage sheets, then they show something like this on the one day I didn't have it on! Typical! This is magnificent Michelle and you did a stunning job with it! :o) xx

I saw this show as well Michelle! But I would never have thought to make a watch strap, what fab idea. I love the colours you've used and the blending is amazing.
Really unique and I love it,
