Tuesday Taggers in full colour and High Def

Now wouldn't that be something!! We might not be in High Def but certainly in full colour for this weeks challenge. With Bonfire Night on the horizon we thought we'd set the challenge to make something which is bursting with colour.

I've been wanting to have a go at making a proper watch strap so went and bought a £5 watch from Yorkshire Trading to have a go

I used the old watchstrap for a pattern and cut this one out of Grunge Paper to fit the watch. I used shimmer mist on a baby wipe to colour the background, then stamped
Kay Carley's Aspects of Design Funkey Flowers in black on the strap. I coloured these with Cosmic Shimmer Paint and stitched the strap together when it had dried.

Those lovely ladies at The Craft Barn got everything I needed here in double quick time despite the postal strike.

The watch is definately bursting with colour although the photo doesn't show it too well, I just love the finish with the cosmic shimmer paints they just glisten beautifully and the Craft Barn have a good selection of brilliant colours. Might have to buy some more LOL

Now there's something you can treat yourself to if you win the prize that the Craft Barn are sponsoring on Tuesday Taggers, a £15 voucher to spend at their new look web shop.

Pop over and have a peep then come tag along at Tuesday Taggers with your burst of colour, we've all had a ball this week checking out everyone's entry, hope you'll come back and play again.

Bye for Now
x Michelle

We definitely need bright colours in this dark and dreary weather Michelle. I love your watch strap and I so agree with you about the cosmic shimmer paints. I'm totally addicted to them at the minute!!

Hi Michelle, hope everything is going OK for your hubby in hospital. John came out today but is still not too good, hopefully he'll pick up after a couple of days of my nursing. Thanks for your kind comments.

Love your watch Michelle, I've seen a few of these around and been itching to have a go at one but no sewing machine, so not sure how I'd get on. This is the prettiest I've seen, I love the shimmer of the paint, I bet it's even more so IRL. I can't believe your watch only cost a fiver :), it looks very expensive and even more so because of it's gorgeous new strap! Beautiful work and inspiration. Chris xx
