Handbags and Gladrags at Tuesday Taggers

I'm still recovering from a blissful weekend at Malham Field Centre where a few of my lovliest friends gathered for a whole weekend of crafting, food and wine and wonderful company, but had to dash back to make this card for the new challenge on Tuesday Taggers.

Really it was more of a paddle than a dash, on the way back the roads were badly flooded on the moor and at one point so deep we didn't know wether the car would make it through.  With no signal on the phone and needing to get two passengers home unharmed, the only way of assessing the depth of the water was to abandon shoes and socks, roll trousers up to the knees and paddle out into the middle.  So there I was, on the middle of Malham Moor, in the dark paddling in the flooded road.  The moor was deserted and being with friends, didn't mind looking a fool,......until a farmer came in a landrover who pulled up at the other side of the flood and watched me paddle the 50yds back to the car!

The things I do for Tuesday Taggers!!

The image on the card is a fantastic sketch from my Blogging friend Christine Dark who has just won Magnolia Stamps weekend challenge and had her cards published in the new Magnolia ink magazine.
 Way to Go Christine!
You can have a look at her fabulous work here

The papers on the card are DCWV La Creme and I've embellished with pearls and black diamante bits.  Really enjoyed making this card, a change from all the altered art I've been doing over the weekend. Will show you later!

Pop over to Tuesday Taggers and have a look at the DT's designs, there is some fabulous stuff, they keep coming up with the goods week after week. Impressive!

Hope your weekend wasn't as wet as mine and that you'll enjoy brushing off those little party numbers ready for the silly season. Have Fun
x Michelle

Very classy! love the sparkly bits! Bet you're glad you weren't wearing those shoes on the way home! It gets a bit scary when it's like that. Well done for getting everyone home safely (and with a smile on their faces!)

Paddling round Malham Moor in the dark, Michelle!! Are you sure it wasn't Halloween!!!!It's turned a bit wintery now hasn't it!
Love your card. Handbags and Gladrags are things that don't come out too often in this house anymore so might have to have a go at this one!
