What bliss!
My OH has just started doing a few hours at the local wine shop which left me ALONE in the house from 3pm to 8pm and boy did I enjoy those hours of solitude.  I made some lemon chicken pasta with a balsamic tomato sauce, (my pasta machine has reverted back to it's original use now that I have a cuttlebug!) opened a bottle of fruity smooth red wine, and ate my wonderfully solitary meal in front of the telly, after spending the afternoon
making this....

With having so many people to care for (OH, my two sons, my brother and my dad) all of who have chronic illness or disability, I rarely have the house to myself and believe me solitude is a real luxury so I cant tell you how special my afternoon has been.

Some while ago I came across Elaine's blog and was so blown away by the beautiful boxes she creates, that I decided that when I have time I would have a go at making something as amazing as those on her blog. I havn't quite got there but I a pleased with this attempt.

She has kindly included a tutorial on her blog so pop over there and have a look, she has some amazing things there.

Hope you're not struggling in this wonderful weather we are having. I've been snowed in for about a week!

x Michelle

Your butterfly box is beautiful. Are you using acetate for the butterflies? They seem to have a glittery portion as the body and I am curious as to what you used for that. I have just tried making one of those but struggled with the metric measurements but finally figured it out.
