The Craft Barn Altered Bits

We've been doing a bit of altering over at The Craft Barn and I've been altering a few more shopping list pads and adding magnetic strip on the back to put them on the fridge.  You've seen similar ones I've made before but these are a bit different cos I've added and altered pencil too!

I coloured the card with TH Distress Ink pad aged mahogany and stamped it using Katzelkraft rubber stamps - Norris and JMC: nature quotes 1 and a crackle stamp with Versafine.  I punched through the pad and the cover with the cropodile and tied some raffia through to attach the cover. After adding a rose coloured with Tattered Angel Glimmer Mists and sticking a magnet strip to the back I attached the stampin up punched tab with eyelets to hold the pencil.

The pencil was stamped by inking up the crackle stamp with Stazon timber brown, and rolling the pencil over the upturned stamp.

These pads are really easy to make but look real classy and make a great gift so give em a go, love to see your take on the idea, it's open to so many different styles and I bet it'll look good using all sorts of card and stamps.

Have a great week - I'm off crafting with my fab crafty friends today, think I might make something just for me!  Thanks for all your kind words and encouragement, craft blog buddies are such a special group of people!

x Michelle

Hi Michelle. I haven't been round for so long, please forgive me. I've had a lovely catch up today though and you've some gorgeous things. I love the exploding box, what a special gift and the orange elephant is fantastic. I would be scared stiff of orange.
Love your shopping lists too, especially stamping the pencil, would never ever have thought of doing that. This is one to definitely have a go at.
Sorry to hear you've been feeling so under the weather. Hope things improve soon.
Sending you my love and hugs.
