Altered? - You Bet! at Tuesday Taggers

The very talented and very unique Lyn from Tuesday Taggers has chosen this weeks theme for the challenge, and has asked us to Alter Something. It could be anything and the DT have certainly chosen some interesting things to alter.

Around Mother's Day I picked up some of these really tacky mirrors which I thought I'd be able to do something with

Now don't cringe I now it really is tacky and didn't buy it for my mum! but look what it turned into!

It was really quick too, I just masked off the mirror edge with masking tape, painted 2 layers of gesso then painted with Ranger paint dabbers and stamped the Tim Holtz stamps in Timber Brown and Black Stazon. The bigger of the embelishments I did some while ago from a papermania stamp, the others are spacer beads and bead caps. Can you spot the ultimate sin which finished the whole thing off?

The DT have pulled out all the stops again with some very interesting objects as their starting point. Here's a little peek of Lyn's

Can you guess what it is?  I bet you can't!
Pop over to TT to have a look see if you're right!

See you there
x Michelle

Fabulous 'alteration' Michelle! I like those peeloffs too and have been known to add a bit of that sparkly border.

Had a moment of horror when I looked at the before picture!! But its altered state is certainly a piece worth having. Think I might have to look at some of those old 'gifts' too lol.
