DU2DS No Patterns

That's no big deal I thought, I'll just put one of Christine's fantastic sketches over a plain digi paper print it out and keep it fairly simple for this weeks DU2DS challenge. I really enjoyed doing this too and was quite pleased with the result

until I realised I'd used a patterned digi paper !!!! Durrrr!  So had to try again. I really love this digi image of Christines, the snow drops remind me of my Mum who's back garden was covered with them the spring after she died and they really helped me feel some peace in amongst all the turmoil, so thanks Chris for this great sketch and for reminding me of that.  Here then is the second card, this time I got it right, there is no patterned paper.

I coloured the snow drops with watercolour pencils, punched the paper with a creaxions punch and added a Tim Holtz sentiment embossed in white.

We are getting some amazing entries on the challenge now, hope you'll be one of them.

x Michelle

Both are absolutely gorgeous! glad your card reached you - didn't realise it was your 50th (Seriously you don't look it at all!) or that you would be tying the knot. sorry it wasn't a bit more special! Looking forward to seeing the photos x

Fantastic cards Michelle, I love them both and thank you as always for your very kind words. It made me very happy that the image gave you a lovely memory of your Mum, can't ask for more than that :). Hope you're well and had a lovely Mother's Day. Chris xx
