WOW WHAT A DAY!!!!

I've smiled all the way through it! A few weeks ago my good friend Janet and I went on a day course at The Stampman. The lovely Jill was teaching us how to use the meltpot to produce the most wonderful frames by building up layers of stamped UTEE.

We had the best playday and got to use the new Tim Holtz dies which she had just got in stock. Clever Jill had us cutting out shrink plastic with them to make elements to put on the frame - such a simple idea but I know I would never have thought of it. Have a look see if you can spot the die cuts.

The stamps were all hero arts stamps, the clocks are fabulous stamps but when I saw the flower stamp, it was so simple I wasn't impressed at all - but when I saw Jill use it on the UTEE ............... and since then I've seen it used in craft stamper to make those bright sunny cards with the big flowers on...............It might have to slip into my shopping basket!

It was a great day playing but was even more thrilling when Jill asked me to join The Stampman Design Team. Of course I took it very calmly and said yes the ran out of the shop totally beside myself with smiles.

Today then was my first official job as a member of the DT and I spent the day 'working' at the shop, helping out on their demonstration weekend.  (For working read 'watching the most amazing demo's by Tracy Coates, Vix and Jill, and meeting some lovely fellow crafters')

Pop over to their blogs and say hi or even better, have a trip to The Stampman tomorrow, Leonie from Create and Craft will be there demonstrating along with Jill Bolton who creates the most amazing metal work amongst her many talents.

There's a massive sale room too at the moment with real bargains to be had, so don't miss out on a great day!

See you there perhaps

x Michelle

This is absolutely gorgeous Michelle and I can just imaginge what a lovely time you had last week and this at The Stampman.

I visited the old shop once not long before they moved and my friend and I went to one of Jill Bolton's workshops last year but I don't get to go often as it's quite a long way from Mansfield. I must admit that I'd love to go again as soon as I can manage it.

Congratulations on joining the Stampman team, Michelle! I bet you were wowing people too with your demo today. Like Lesley, I wish I lived nearer to Skipton, but then again, I'd probably be bankrupt very quickly if I did!!!
