Tuesday Tagger - Literary Past

Tuesday again and over at Tuesday Taggers my lovely teamies have set us the challenge of producing a vintage book mark.

I love ageing stuff but since I started crafting the only reading I do is in The Craft Stamper. My Aunt though is a prolific reader and is at the moment researching ancient chinese history (oriental interests seem to run in the family!)  SHe has many massive tomes on the go and as part of her Christmas pressies I made her a collection of 6 book marks on a stand for her to keep on her reading table.

This was one of them. Inked with TH Distress inks then masked and inked again then stamped with the floral flourish and finished off with the text and ............yep, the dreaded peel off!  Sometimes though only peel offs will do!

There is an amazing variety of bookmarks on the TT blog for inspiration, those girls never cease to amaze me, I wonder how many varieties of vintage bookmarks you come up with..................

Will be popping by to see

Till then
x Michelle

This is really classy Michelle and although it obviously looks nothing like one, it immediately made me think of a leather Chesterfield couch that you might curl up on to read a good book. The inking looks like antiqued leather and the 'dreaded peel off' reminds me of the metal studs you see on old leather furniture.

I bet your Aunt was really thrilled with her set of bookmarks.

Hugs

Absolutely stunning Michelle & inspirational as always... it's bedtime but I want to craft now!
Sorry it's felt like ages since I dropped by. My daughter is off to study in Beijing in just over 2 wks & there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day.
Hoping to have a bit more time in September when my little one starts nursery. Fingers crossed we are hoping to catch a bus to Skipton next Weds!
Have a great week.xx What a lucky Aunt. :)
