The Stampman Challenge - Music

Wow these challenges are coming thick and fast, I can't keep up!!

Mr and Mrs Stampman have set the challenge this week and asked us to create a music card. Thought it was an ideal opportunity to try and do something different with Tracy Coates' Aspects of Design 60 Classical Instruments stamps. I've really enjoyed the challenge of finding different ways to use these.

I cut out the M for music with Robot Crop (craft robot) using some music manuscript then stamped the instruments and music notes all over it, softened the edges with adirondak Latte ink.  The base card was stamped and inked with the same ink.  The double base I stamped and embossed onto white card and then bleached out the centre of the instrument. I mounted this with an amazing little gadget from papermania - a card spring! The double base wobbles about on the spring. Finished the whole thing off with a liberal splodge of platinum stickles. and some dangly beads.

A little surprise inside too, The Stampman have some musical inserts which I've attached so that it plays a tune when it opens!!!!!!  LUV IT !!!!

Hope you're musically inspired enough to come play, if not here's a couple of things I made with ladied at one of my workshops. You've probably already seen them but I thought I'd show you again just in case you missed them first time round.

You can find the original post for these bits here

All similar techniques but a lot of fun to make

See ya
x Michelle

What a fantastic card Michelle. I bought that stamp set when they first came out and haven't used them nearly as much as I should.

Thanks for the great inspiration!

I love your Music card, Michelle. It looks great stamped onto music paper, very original. The colours are perfect too and clever you having it actually playing music. What a pity they don't have a prize for the person who can get the most variations of music into their creation, you'd win hands down!!

Michelle,

Your cards are amazing. Love the CD's - I have used CDs on cards in the past but they didn't look anywhere near as brilliant as yours.
