Tuesday Taggers - Autumn

Hi All

I'm chasing my tail again but at least I'm on the right day this time! Tuesday on the Taggers Challenge this week sees me desperately searching for things in my 'finished' box with an autumnal theme so I can pretend I'm all efficient and have just thrown together something for this weeks challenge. Truth is I've been hosting a craft retreat in the Yorkshire Dales with Clarky J and totally forgot this weeks DT sample so have been desperately searching past projects to use.

I really have cheated this week as the project isn't even all my own work.  It's a wall hanging which Janet and I made together way back when we set up Tuesday Taggers. The first of our joint ventures really and one which set us on the path we are on today

It was one of the first projects we made to promote our first sponsors at The Craft Barn.  Even more significant is that it was made at one of our first craft retreats where we decided that we should start our own retreat in The Dales and that's why I'm behind with my DT work!

The Craft Barn are still a regular sponsor and are sponsoring a £15 gift voucher for the winner of this weeks challenge at Tuesday Taggers so do come play!

Janet and I have had another first this week...... For some time we have wanted to set up a crafting group for people with learning disabilities, being convinced that they could make saleable products and engage in meaningful activity, and last week we finally managed to do this. A small group of us got together and made some amazing cards. 'The Creative Crew' have set up their own blog so please do pop over and have a look at what they have been making.  We will be meeting once a week and are starting to make cards which will be sold at the Medieval market in Skipton during december.

I've been bowled over by the standard of their work you will be too - go see here and leave them a comment. They will be thrilled.

Happy Crafting Peeps
x Michelle

Best wishes with your new ventures, afraid I couldn't take a peek for it is invitation only at present. Love your autumnal hanger.

Same goes for me Michelle. Congratulations on starting such a group and I look forward to checking out their work when we are allowed onto the blog.

Bet your retreat was a great weekend and wish I could have joined you.

Hi Michelle, I thought this creation looked familiar (what a memory!) and it's fabulous. Loved your CS article, very imaginative. Just off to visit The Creative Crew, what a great idea to start this group up.
