Fishes and Men!

Havn't posted for a few days so I thought I'd show you  one of the Christmas presents I made for my Bro' Neil. He is a lovely man and a minister in The Church Army so when I spied this in the oxfam shop, I knew just what I was going to do with it....

A good sand down, a base coat of gesso and a dauber or two later and this is how it turned out

Click on the pic for a closer look, there's a fair amount of detail in there.

Good sermon material don't you think?

He was thrilled with it and I was too. It never fails to surprise me when the ideas I have  turn out well and I must say it was one of my favourite makes. A good £1.50's worth!

Hope you're all happy and healthy and enjoying the warmer (if wet) weather.
x Michelle

I love what you've done with this. Lovely colours and subtle stamping. I also spend lots of time trawling through charity shops in search of things to alter! It's a question of seeing the possibilities in other peoples discards....

Love it!I keep looking in charity shops but think I'm blind to possibilities, but I'll keep trying. Your choice of colours is fab, as well as the attention to details. Cheers Caz
