Singalong with Try it on Tuesday!

Yep we're all feeling pretty tuneful at TioT this morning with a challenge to make a card inspired by a song. Can u guess what I'm singing?

Yep it's material girl by Madonna

The stamps are from a couple of Darcie's sets with loads of sewing bits and pieces on but it's the buttons I really want you to look at!  At Lovin' Ink we decided that if the Lord of Craft can market half a dozen buttons at £7.99 a card, it's time we launched our version (at a greatly reduced price of course)  So Janet and I went on a shopping spree yesterday looking for bits and pieces to produce a range of embellishments for Lovin' Ink.  Of course being lovers of altered art we decides that our embellishments should be alterable to match the products we are using so these buttons are just that.  The little buttons are silk covered and have been altered with promarkers but any inks can be used, so these can be dyed to match your favorite TH, Adirondak, Alcohol, or copic colours.  For the big button I decided to have a go with paint dabbers and love the result.  Even the pins have been altered to match the colours I've used.

Watch out for the launch of the new range of alterables

We didn't have many entries last week for the alter it theme, I guess you were intimidated by the project so the girls on the DT have pulled out all the stops to tempt you into the the challenge this week.

Do go over and have a look, the sun is shining on a beautiful day which can only be improved by settling down at the end of it and creating a little gem to enter into the challenge!

Now the sun and the garden are calling me, not to mention my dear OH so I'd better move myself!

x Michelle

Hasn't it been a gorgeous day in this little corner of the world, Michelle. I've spent the day in the garden too, bliss!!
Your card is gorgeous and for someone who has a phobia about buttons, even I could cope with these fabric covered ones, they look great. I shall be keeping my eye out!!
