The Stampman Challenge, Tim's Tags

The Stampman's challenge us this week to use one of Tim's 12 Tags of Christmas to inspire our work so, after a good look through all 48 of them, was taken with the technique of using Alcohol Inks  to make a plaid background.  You cant see much of it now that I've completed the card but have enjoyed making it.

It's nothing like the tag or indeed like any of Tim's work, but I like that it is different!

To make it I used
Alcohol Inks

Tim Holtz Stamps - CMS096 - Mini Holidays 2

Tim Holtz Stamps - CMS052 Reindeer Flight

Versafine - Onyx Black

I also thought I would show you what we are doing at Stamping Club in Skipton tomorrow.

Janet and I have been making tea cup candles for Christmas presents and this is on I have just finished.  The tea cups are odd ones from various charity shops. They make a lovely candle don't you think?

Got to go and make a box for it now ready for the workshop.

Byeee!

Hi Michelle! I love anything that's a bit different, and I just love that card. Very surprising use of colors and it turned out just beautiful! I also love your teacup candle! I've been wondering what else to make for gifts, and I have tons of these cups that I got for another craft I did. Awesome inspiration! Thanks!

Thank you Michelle for such a wonderful card for this challenge. Your interpretation of Tim's technique is terrific and the colours with the mirri card is really visually attractive.
Have a wonderful weekend.
