DU2DS Challenge 10

This week Dare U have challenged us to make a card using ribbon. Now this might sound easy but wait till you have to make a card whose main element is ribbon. A little bow is lovely. a ribbon border is pretty but how do you make ribbon a significant feature. Well I cheated, I waited until some of the other DT had done there cards then tried to come up with an idea that looked different. So this emerged. The image is that lovely bunch of sweetpeas from Christine at Sketching Stamper, coloured with Tim Holtz distress inks and stitched a bit on one of those didi sewing machines and the Big ribbon trim was once white but I cloured it with the inks and gathered it up to create that bunched up thingy!

Recipe then is
Image - Sketching Stamper
Coloured with - T Holtz Distress inks, Tattered Rose, Worn Lipstick, Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord
Cardstock - Kanban
Paper - Papermania, Raspberry Champagne
Punch - Stampin Up
Ribbon - Stash
Pearls - Papermania

Sos I was so long posting, had a bit of trauma with my beloved in the heart department. Not that he was overcome with love for me, more that his heart wasn't feeling the way it should. It's settled down now but gave us a scare. After two previous heart attacks, we tend to get anxious over every little twinge!
Alls well that ends well! Now which cartoon used to finish with that phrase? Was it Mr. Ben or The Clangers!

Stunning card Michelle. Love your bunched up thingy, I thought it was a flower when I first saw it. Duped me :o)
Glad to hear that Al is better, it must have been a real worry for you.
Will have to think about 'All's well that ends well'. Could it be Ivor the Engine?
