DU2DS Age it , or make it anxious!

Routing around in the loft today, I found a suitcase stuffed full of old junk and amongst it found this ........ok maybe not! but I did try to make it look as though it was. The challenge for DU2DS this week is to Distress It and having just got Christine's bluebell image thought this was the ideal picture to try to age, so aimed for a victorian type feel to the card.

The card is embossed with a cuttlebug folder and distressed with Distress inks. The paper is from Kanban which I tore and distressed and the image is printed on card, distressed with ink then well and truly battered about.

I made the flower with a flower loom and crocheted a flower and fastened it down with organza ribbon and a button. The lace is some of my hand made lace - a gone wrong bit cos it takes about an hour an inch to make. I really enjoyed making this card and as always am thrilled to be designing with the amazing team at DU2DS. They have some great work on show today.

Since the weather has taken a turn for the worse, why not have a go at the challenge and let the ancestoral influences flow.

Have a good weekend

x Michelle

Superb card Michelle, you really did some fabulous distressing on this one and the vintage look is so pretty. Love your handmade lace, I've always wanted to have a go at that as I used to live in Bedford so a lot of friends Mum's used to do it, I think a lot of patience must be needed but it's so beautiful. Have a great weekend. Chris x

Wow now that has taken me back to the wonderful Victorian era. Beautiful card Michelle. Love the distressing and also your hand made elements. My Mum-in-law does lace-making (She made my garter for my Wedding outfit) so I can appreciate how long it takes to make. Bravo!
Hope you have a great couple of weeks while I'm away.
