DU2DS Challenge Recipe

I've done it again! Crafting merrily away last night thinking how good I was getting my DT work done early ready to post tonight then realised it's friday today not thursday. I know I'm a woman of a certain age but this confusion is really bugging me now!!!!

Anyway here it is:
This week we have a recipe to follow:- A digital image, 2 patterned papers, 1 ribbon and 3 flowers.
I really loved doing this one ~ are you sitting comfortably? then I'll begin..................

And if you remember that (as I do ...just) you'll know who this is. I spent all night trying to remember what colour shoes Andy Pandy wore and was still wracking my feeble brain in bed when it came to me, with stunning clarity......of course I won't remember what colour his shoes were, I only ever watched it in black and white - wow has technology advanced beyond measure - now I watch on blue ray high def and download stuff I miss!!

I downloaded this image of Andy Pandy from a colouring site online, coloured him with pro markers and mounted him on Stampin up paper. I made the flowers with a stampin up stamp cut them out and layered and shaped them.

The Dt have come up with an amazing variety of cards with this recipe and now that DU2DS has gone two weekly, there's plenty of time to have a go so come join us, lets see how many different versions of the recipe we can come up with.

x Michelle

Andy Pandy's shoes are white. I should know I have spent the last 48 years cuddled up to him in that basket.

Great card by the way.

Oh Michelle - I'm so with you on the memory thing - the other day I couldn't remember the name for a teaspoon and had to mime the object I wanted passing to me to Nigel and Sarah in the kitchen because no amount of concentration would bring the word to mind - it does my head in! I went to the GP about it and she said 'Sorry dear, it's the onset of the menopause' How scary is that? I remember the days when you were going to shoot yourself rather than reach 30 - now 50 is knocking on the door ever so loudly!

Oh how sweet!!!! I went through both the Andy Pandy phases - I remember him so well from my own childhood (didn't he have pom-poms under that hat??) and then again when he was re-invented (as in your image) when my boys were little! It was lovely second time around, but not a patch on the 'real' AP!! Fabulous card - will check out this blog too! :o) xx

I love Andy Pandy. It's not quite the same nowadays as when we used to watch it as kids, but I enjoyed having a revisit when Freya was small and enjoyed it too.
Your colouring is lovely and I adore those flowers.

What a wonderful card! I'm glad I'm not the only one, memory-wise. I asked a complete stranger on holiday in Wales if she could remember the name of the dragon in Ivor the engine!!
