Tuesday Taggers Jar Full!

Hi Gang
Hope you're all Healthy and Happy and enjoying this beautiful British summer we are having! I feel so chilled tonight I am going to have to find a way to warm up, usually I go soak in a lovely hot sweet smelling bath and now that I've completed this week TT challenge design I can do just that.

The Challenge this week was to fill and decorate a jar or bottle with anything you like. Now you all know I've started early making Christmas presents so thought I'd continue in that vein and make more gifts to put away for my nearest and dearest and decided home made smellies ticked the boxes all round.

This is so easy and cost effective we thought it would be great to share the idea and produce a tutorial to show you how to produce really lovely, hand crafted gifts to add a touch of luxury to your lives!

This then is Star Burst Shower Gel / Bath Foam with a delicious perfume of Tangerine and Lime. You cant tell at the mo cos the bubbles havn't settled but the gel has stars and glitter suspended in it so it looks great in the bottle. I made this from shower Gel base I bought specially from Essentially Oils but it can be easily made with Simple shower gel, or if you cant find that unperfumed shampoo makes a brilliant shower gel.

Pop over to Tuesday Taggers and have a look to see how it's done.

The labels were very simply stamped on white paper and coloured with Sakura clear star pen or embossed but gives a very chic movie star theme to the bottle.

The Craft Barn
, who supply everything you need to create these great labels are kindly sponsoring a £15 prize for the lucky winner of this weeks challenge and the DT have some wonderful ideas for filling and decorating bottles and jars and this being the jam and preserve season its a perfect challenge for the budding Hugh Fearnley Whittingstones or the Anita Roddicks out there!

They also stock a couple of Melissa Frances stamp sets called Frame Works which is perfect for making really classy and unusual labels for your products. Cant wait for mine to come, I have some blackcurrant jam crying out for a special label and frilly top!!

The Recipe then :

Stamps ~ Paper Artsy and Craft Stamper freebie
Colouring Medium ~ Sakura
Glitter, Embossing Powders & Inks ~ available from Craft Barn
Shower Gel Base ~ Essentially Oils
Essential Oils ~ Essentially Oils
Bottle ~ Essentially Oils

Now I'm off for a soak and a read of my Craft Stamper.

x Michelle

Michelle this is beautiful, I love the label you have used, I am getting into the vintage, pity that I have bought so many cutie stamps since March, oh well Hubby's wallet will have to take another bashing...LOL. I am so sorry to hear that you are in pain my dear friend, this has been a bad summer, with hardly any relief, my daughter wants me to go to Dundee, today to go to a craft show with her, she is just getting into cardmaking, and tried to get into QVC yesterday, but her hubby is not very supportive, so I will be treating her today, she has a blog, http://nikkiscards.blogspot.com/ if you want to go over and give her a little support. I am up this early to dope myself up with "painkillers" but tomorrow......I love your work Michelle and your realy inspire me, it is fab to work along side such creative ladies on TT, I am so grateful for this chance. Huge "Cyber Hugs" Avril xxxx
