DU2DS Are you square??

The challenge this week is to produce a shaped card, square cards have been so popular for so long now and this is a refreshing change.

I cut this snowflake on the robo crop and embossed it with kaleidoscope powder, cut the card to fit it then mounted Christine's wonderful fir cone which I'd coloured with TH distress inks, added a ribbon and the sentiment and bobs your auntie!!

Chris has got some fabulous new images in her shop, I do love the nature sketches she creates, they are always so easy to colour.

Hope you find loads of inspiration over at DU2DS there are some amazing designs from the team and such a change to be making shaped cards.

x Michelle

Fabulous Michelle, this really is a stunning card and I love the way you've coloured and sparkled up the fir cone, it looks amazing! The snowflake background is wonderful, it's so beautifully Christmassy. You asked about photographing cards the other day and what I usually do is make sure I have the flash off and the macro (little flower symbol) button on on my camera. I angle my daylight lamp over the top of the card so that the light is shining downwards onto it and I use an infinity board which I stand my card on so that there's no visible background. Hope you're having a better week, sorry to read about the bereavements you've had and hope you're doing ok. Chris x

I do love circle cards, and yours is amazing. So much detail, I love the richness of the colour of the fir cone against the blue. It really makes it stand out beautifully.
