Orange all Over!

It's Craft Barn Orange Day today, and we've been asked to make samples using - guess what - Orange. Not everyones favourite colour but I love it and use orange such a lot. I need this colour so much at the moment. It is supposed to stimulate vitality and energy both of which I'm feeling a lack of. I've not been around much cos I have been so weak and in so much pain with Fibromyalgia. Most of the time it's a niggle in the background but every now and again it's bad enough to keep me awake and make me feel really grotty. Feeling better today though after seeing Suze Weinburg demo her UTEE and meltpot techniques with my lovely friends Elaine and Janet yesterday, so today I'm filling my world with ORANGE.

I really love the Paper Artsy Set Brick & Mortar 2  and Swirls & Curls 5  on this card and have used it for loads of different projects from altered art to canvas and on cards and ATC's and teamed with the
Basic Grey Ambrosia paper pad it looks so opulent.

The elephants were the result of a play with Dreamweaver stencil: elephants  and Dreamweaver embossing paste matte black . Loved messing with this, it gives great results and really makes the stenciled image pop. A new way of using existing brass stencils too, makes great flourishes if you have a flourish stencil!

The card was finished off with Distress Inks black soot and spiced marmalade , the sentiment embossed with Embossing Powder Stamp n Stuff Detail embossing powder: black and mounted on  Nestabilities - Label four and Bob's your Auntie!

If you feel the need of more orange in your life have a look at the other samples over at The Craft Barn Blog for some inspiration.

Sorry again for not getting round to you all and for missing posting DT stuff on time, Hope to be feeling well enough to come see what you're all up to shortly.
x Michelle
