Easter Flowers

Here's a little card to wish you all a Very Happy Easter or if you don't celebrate Easter, Happy Holidays.

Twas made for The Craft Barn DT using fellow teamy Kay Carley's stamp set aspects of Design Funky flowers

I stamped the background using the smaller flower in the set and a few of the swirls  and then created the background for the topper in the same way.  The flowers, I stamped and embossed onto parchement a few times, coloured them with TH Broken China  then cut them out and shaped and layered them onto the card.

I dont use coloured embossing powder anymore, just use briliance inks and clear powder. I find it gives a better image as any powder that sticks to the card is clear and therefore not too noticable and the inks are such strong pigments that they give great definition.

The ribbon was coloured using shimmer mists made from TH reinkers and cosmic shimmer. All the products are available at The Craft Barn

Have a Lovely Holiday
x Michelle

Hi Michelle - another fabulous card - love the effect of the flowers stamped onto parchment then decoupaged - the petals really stand out. Gorgeous choice of colours too.
Thanks for visiting tonight - (well, I guess it's not too far from Grassington to Leeds)!
Have a happy Easter Sunday.
Love, Sylvia x

Happy Easter to you and yours Michelle.
I love what you've done with this card. Those funky flowers are wonderful to work with aren't they and you've chosen my favourite colours!!
I use coloured inks and clear embossing too as I've always struggled with coloured EP. I use the coloured for triple embossing instead, much more fun and less stress!!
