Reuse and Recycle for Tuesday Taggers

Another weeks flown by without me seeing it happen and I can't believe I havn't posted anything since last weeks TT post. There are just not enough hours in the day!

Without further ado then our Lovely Ildiko wanted us to recycle this week and the only thing I could find at short notice (only got my head round this one a couple of hours before it was due to post) was this old toothbrush pot which had lost it's lid

Thought it needed alcohol inks and I just don't possess any so experimented with some TH reinkers and surgical spirit

and now it's a candle holder!  I think the DIY inks worked ok so finished the job by embossing the Personal Impressions Abstract stamp in black and plum. It's amazing what you can alter if you just give it a go.

Been playing with a few more bits as well this week.

A group of crafting buddies are organising an ATC swap on a 'time' theme so had to get these sorted to send off

I won't bore you with a load of individul pics, just double click on any photo's on the blog and they'll supersize.

I finally got to play with some of the stamps I bought at Graphicus a few weeks ago, Elusive Images, Paper Artsy and Darcies stamps I think, all stamped with TH distress inks and Versafine.

Now here's a puzzle! I called in at the Stampman last week to pick up a new versamark stamp pad then went to craft with friends. I put the pad in my bag along with the versafine and now I can't find it anywhere. Is there a crafty borrower living under the floorboards do you think?

Despite the lack of a new pad I managed to get some cards done for the Stampman to take to Port Sunshine, or Starlight or even Merrion or wherever the next show is they have a stand at.

All made using Tracy Coates' music stamps which are available here , along with all the other bits and bobs I used.

The first card was made with moonshadow mists and has a really lovely shimmer on the paper, I'm loving using these at the moment and have created loads of different background papers to use in future products. The bottom two cards were made using the TH new colours (Special offer - all the new colours for £50 here) and building up layers of stamping whith increased intensity of colour. You might also spot the new label dies from Spellbinders.

Well this post has been sitting on my desktop all afternoon after I fell asleep mid paragraph and feeling much livlier now, I think I'll do some more altering.

If like me the need to alter is growing, pop over to TT blog and look at the DT designs, but be prepared!  they're seriously inspiring!

Back soon
x Michelle

Crikey Michelle, you've been busy. Your candle holder is genius and how resourceful to make your own alcohol inks. Love your atc's too, the stamps are gorgeous and great backgrounds on your musical cards, really like the effect you've created there.

What a fantastic post Michelle absolutely chock a block with inspiration and beauty. I would never have thought to make my own alcohol inks but they worked brilliantly.

The ATCs are fab and I bet the recipients will be delighted with them and as for the card samples, they are stunning. I have that stamp plate and you've made me want to go and play. Shame the dreaded housework calls instead, Lol.
