This weeks challenge at DU2DS is 'stitching' I thought I'd use the theme literally and stitch something so made this little wardrobe smelly using Christine's lovely rose heart image.
I printed the image onto canvas and painted it with TH inks using the pink colours. then made the pocket stitching the embroidered hearts around the edge. It has a perfumed pocket inside which I perfumed with rose essential oils and is now hanging in my wardrobe.
Just a short post this week as I have to schedule this while I am away at a craft retreat in Claxby with some of the most special crafters and friends.
Be back on Monday so in the meantime pop over to the DU2 blog and have a look at the wonderful work of the rest of the team, and maybe even enter the challenge. I really enjoyed stitching this week, hope you do too!
