Sittin in the morning sun....................

I can't believe it! this morning I've been sitting in my garden with my fresh ground coffee and croissants with the man I love enjoying the warmth and perfume of a lovely sunny spring morning. Sounds lovely doesn't it?  It was until it struck me that the willow tree by the pond would be a lovely setting to photograph what I was up to last night.

Now that sounds as though I'm about to give you too much information but when you see the photo you'll understand.

Ok so picture the scene  above, feeling the companionship of my man sat with our breakfast, holding hands when the thought hits and I jump up, abandon the coffee, drop Al's hand and dash into the house, upstairs and start grabbing things in the craftroom!

At the bottom of the stairs, Alan, in a panic in case I was ill or something, having jumped up seconds after me and dashed in (heart condition and all) calling to make sure I was ok, only to be confronted by my coming down the stairs with two eggs and a camera in my hands.  The peace and contentment of our few minutes in the sun completely shattered, all because I wanted to show you these

Now don't tell Janet that I was doing these instead of prepping for the Lovin Ink craft retreat on Friday, she may not be friends if she finds out lol!

They are polystyrene eggs, coated with gesso and stamped with the mini peg stamps which were around a few years ago. I've really enjoyed making these. Alan and I have always blown eggs and decorated them to hang in the garden for all the children in the family, when we have an easter egg hunt in the Easter holidays. I didn't want to try this out on real eggs though until I knew it would work but I'm really loving them so might stick to polysyrene ones - much cheaper!

I might have a go using some viva paints now I've seen the results of the wishing well fairies at The Craft Barn. A new wish granted today so do go and be inspired by Christine and Isa's amazing tutorials.
